Sorano thermal baths
Immersed in a 7-hectare park, just outside the village of Sorano and a few minutes from Sovana and Pitigliano, the Terme di Sorano were built around the ancient parish church of Santa Maria dell’Aquila and are among the most beautiful spas in Tuscany .
The waters of Sorano are bicarbonate-magnesium-calcium, rich in beneficial properties particularly indicated in the treatment of respiratory, dermatological, rheumatism, arthrosis and vascular diseases.
The spa complex is spread over an area of 3000 square meters, here you will find the large pool of thermal waters at 37.3 ° C, with comfortable seats, a children’s area and two waterfalls.
The property also has a sports pool of over 200 square meters, open from May to October.
The most particular, however, is certainly the “Bagno dei Frati”, a small swimming pool, dating back to the 15th century and originally used by the friars who lived in the parish church, it is small in size and can accommodate about 15 people. It is located in the woods, near the thermal stream, and is absolutely unique in its kind. The pool is fed by two thermal springs that flow from the rock, at a temperature of 34 ° C.
The Terme di Sorano also have a wellness center, a residence with private villas, a meeting room for 100 people and a restaurant.
