Inaugurated in 2000, the museum is dedicated to the oenological tradition of the Scansanese territory.
The museum is divided into five sections: HISTORICAL AREA, PRODUCTION AREA, VINE AND WINE CYCLE AREA, TRADITION AREA, INFORMATION AREA.
The museum’s objective is to document the evolution of grape cultivation and wine production techniques in the Morellino DOCG production area.
The route gives information on the methods of cultivation and processing of grapes from the Etruscan period to the present, the tools of the past are exhibited.
A section is dedicated to the DOCG wines of the Tuscan Maremma: Morellino, Parrina, Ansonica, Bianco di Pitigliano, Sovana and Capalbio.
Thanks to the commitment of the “Strade del Vino e dei Sapori Colli di Maremma” association, a tasting point has been set up inside the museum, where you can discover typical products and local wines.
