Gustatus Orbetello

November in Orbetello is the month of … Gustatus! Traditional appointment dedicated to taste, quality products and the promotion of the territory.

This year Gustatus will take place from 1 to 5 November, with many initiatives and events not to be missed.

It is a journey to discover good food and quality local products, a journey that passes through the knowledge and enhancement of the territory, for the promotion of lagoon excellence, such as the Bottarga di Muggine, the shaded Eels, many dishes that tell the traditions and the daily work of the people of local families.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Orbetello with the collaboration of the Welcome Maremma Consortium and is one of the flagship events in the Monte Argentario area and throughout the Maremma.

Orbetello is one of the most beautiful towns in the Maremma and one of the unmissable destinations to discover in southern Tuscany, a village full of attractions and events, one of a kind.

The lagoon is the element that most represents and distinguishes Orbetello, just think that, coming from the Argentario, it can be reached by passing over a bridge that crosses the entire lagoon, a truly suggestive experience …

In Orbetello you will have the opportunity to visit many historic buildings and monuments, the Mulino Spagnoli, which is located right in the center of the lagoon and is one of the testimonies of the Spanish Presidia State that governed the Argentario from 1557 to 1707, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the Governor’s Palace, in the main square, the seaplane base, the Polveriera Guzmàn, now transformed into a museum and the walls dating back to 1200 and built at the behest of the Aldobrandeschi.
